He was slightly disappointed once he learned that Ahgoni took a Barbat out of the band room, but he would have to address that later once all of his classes were over for the day. He forced himself to concentrate at the task at hand, and he wouldn’t allow it to spoil his first day with his students. He started organizing the sheet music for what he hoped would be an easy start for the semester. He knew how new places and new people tended to intimates learning musicians. But that wouldn’t be the case today. He had a plan to gradually open up the shy musicians. He was far too out going to allow anything less. He heard the bell, signaling that homeroom had ended and first period was going to begin in the next five minutes. A smile touched his lips. He had to admit he was excited to see how well his students were. He prided himself on his musical ability, and he hoped his students had the same passion he had. He quickly turned his back to the door and wrote his name on the white board with a deep gray marker. Rehvenge.
He retuned back to the room. It had an amphitheater feel to it. The front of the class where his desk stood was the stage like area, while where the student’s desk should be were steep wooden steps, acting like bleachers while average steps led to each row. The first group of students flooded in, “Please sit in the area of you instruments,” he called with his thunderous voice. The farthest role from the door and closers to the window was piano, then woodwinds, then strings, then brass, and lastly percussion.
